Bradshaw, Some Assembly Required (Fluke
Records 1998) - San Francisco-based singer songwriter Bob Bradshaw has
released a likeable collection in Some Assembly Required.
Mixing folk and country-rock elements, Bradshaw displays the influences
of Dave Alvin.Bradshaw (vocals and acoustic guitars) is joined on Some Assembly Required by Scoup McGuire on bass, Mark McCartney on drums, Jon Preuss on electric guitars, and Robert Powell on pedal steel, dobro, and mandolin. Bob Bradshaw hails from Cork, Ireland, and also performs with the Bay Area band, "Resident Aliens." While songs
like "Angie" have acoustic overtones, the full band arrangements are featured on songs like "The
